Doing such a change this late in the game would only break things. I don't really see the point. |

I believe that it will not cause problems (i can't think any problem that will caused by this change). Anyway I think that the orthography is wrong and it's very simple to add the word "using". ;-P |

It will cause problems. The numeric used for SSL in Unreal is used for other things in other IRCds. If we change the text, it will cause them to no longer correctly recognize it as an SSL message rather than, for example, a "connecting from" message. |

Question: Arent the numerics standardised? Or was this a case of a "tacked on" feature\numeric that isnt standard... |

The only standardized numerics are those listed in RFCs. There is no RFC for SSL over IRC, therefore, it's just a number we picked ourselves. |

From my side i can see this: The whois information for secure connection is (a little) wrong and must be changed. I don't know anything else about it ..:P |

From my side I see this, it's not wrong and likely will not be changed. I'm not going to go break clients simply because you don't like our choice of wording... |
