Summary0003444: Handling of +W in webtv.c
DescriptionTwo things that exist for /whois and probably should be added to WebTV whois:

If a +W oper uses /msg IRC whois on themselves, a "did a /whois on you" notice is sent to them. Even though WebTV users won't see this, sending it is redundant.

If an oper is +VW and you do a /msg IRC whois on them, mode +V isn't respected (they are informed via notice, not privmsg).

true, but not these though (to my knowledge...).

I'm not sure if it's worth fixing these kind of things, webtv is dieing afaik, msntv (the successor) has better browser/java support which no longer requires using the onboard crippled irc client.

oh and.. slightly more on-topic: i think an ircop on webtv is severely crippled, like.. he won't be able to see most snotices/globals/globops/etc... not good. changing that would require quite some work, not something I intend to do.

I'd say.. be happy with the current webtv support so users can chat a bit and all, but don't expect much more (like, channel management has been a hassle since the start, seeing no mode changes etc, let alone being an ircop on webtv)...

appreciate the bugreport, but.. you get the idea... if we fix this then... ;p
