| Summary | 0004000: Add deny::dcc::file-size | ||||
| Description | It would be nice to be able to filter files not only by type but size as well. This is so one can allow a 500kb .zip that could be my vacation pictures but not allow a 1.2gb .zip file that could be a copywrited application/movie. Granted, size doesn't dictate content, but it's more likely that a 1gb .zip is an application than pics ;) | ||||

i am pretty sure that size information isn't sent in the CTCP message to initiate a DCC SEND, just host and port information. but, more importantly, does anyone actually use DCC anymore for anything other than warez? i haven't been DCC'd anything in *years* and i would consider myself a poweruser of IRC... |

The protocol says size may be included as the last arg, but if it's optional, then it's likely a moot point at least for SEND, there are other DCC commands that do send file size. I don't use DCC either and I too consider myself a poweruser too. |

Lets not bother with this then... |
