Summary | 0005796: show up to date and newly installed files in the make install output
Description | It will be a nice feature to see what conf file are newly installed and which files are up to date in the make install output. I modify my conf file and save they to another dir. So i could see, after an upgrade, which files are up to date and which one are newly installed I like the form from the anope install https://pastebin.com/pr4qmbVB Yeah, it's really long and not all files are necessary I would be nice to see all conf files in the conf dir and the aliases, examples and help files, which are up to date or newly installed. The module files will be nice, but not necessary. Greets Han`

From what I can see, the 'install' tool does not have such an option, although... maybe -C ?? Not sure if it is portable.-C, --compare compare each pair of source and destination files, and in some cases, do not modify the destination at all Rather cryptic :) Anyway, not high priority, but just here on bugs* so it could be looked at some day :D |
