| Description | when trying to do a make the follow error occurs. random.o: In function `init_random': /home/knogle/src/Unreal/src/random.c:131: undefined reference to `RAND_query_egd_bytes' collect2: ld returned 1 exit status $ openssl version OpenSSL 0.9.7b 10 Apr 2003 it's the only openssl version on the box - I do not have root on the box (if I did it'd be FreeBSD :). | ||||

Ok, since I still believe it's something with mixing header/lib files.. let's trace it... do a 'make' again and then when you get the error you said above run these 2 commands: -- strace -f -F -o strace.log make grep opensslv strace.log -- and paste the output the last command gives. Tell them the openssl libs (or at least /usr/lib/libcrypto.so) is version 0.9.6b while the rest (header files, openssl binary) are 0.9.7b :p. |
