| Summary | 0001028: [::ffff:ip]:port causes bind of * on non-ipv6 compile | ||||
| Description | if you define an ip like [::ffff:ip]:port and the kernel or the ircd isn't compiled with ipv6 support unreal binds 0.0.0.0 instead of the ip. apt and i tested it on two boxes, so i think it's a bug. | ||||

Umm of course. ::ffff:ip means NOTHING to a non-ipv6 compile. Therefore when it attempts to translate that to an IP, it gets 0 as a response. 0 is equivilent to 0.0.0.0, therefore it binds to all interfaces. Not really sure how entering invalid data constitutes as a bug. |

i think it should check if it's compiled with ipv6 at parsing. when you use ssl with a non-ssl compile it gives a warning too. |
