| Description | After i run ./Config i gote an error that i must use the '--host' option, if i don't use it, then i can't config ad all, so when i run ./Config i give that param also, but now i gote a new error and mail'd it to the bug reports (see Additional information what i got back :)): configure: error: Cannot find a type with size of 16 bits | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | I have checked the GCC Verion and i gote this : wouter@Wouter:~$ gcc --version 2.95.4 Also i dit what "Sysop" wirte to me, to get the newest GCC but then i get this message: Wouter:/home/wouter# apt-get install gcc libc6-dev Reading Package Lists... Done Building Dependency Tree... Done Sorry, gcc is already the newest version. Sorry, libc6-dev is already the newest version. 0 packages upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded. I will attach as speak in the reply mail the config.log. *Not try'd yet the Unreal3.2Beta17, i gone do that afte this mial, becuase i need the unreal 3.2 beta 16 :)* | ||||

If that doesn't help, create a bugreport at http://bugs.unrealircd.org/ and attach your config.log (created by ./Config / configure). Syzop. PS: I assume you ran ./Config and not ./configure. | ||||

Also i gote the same error on the Unreal3.2Beta17 I hope we can make some ircd on that shell :) |

There are multiple lines in config.log with: /usr/lib/gcc-lib/i386-linux/2.95.4/include/stddef.h:170: warning: empty declaration I'm not sure if that's the cause but it seems to take that as an error and therefore a lot of these tests fail. My /usr/lib/gcc-lib/i386-linux/2.95.4/include/stddef.h line 170 is like: 169:#if !(defined (__GNUG__) && defined (size_t)) 170:typedef __SIZE_TYPE__ size_t; 171:#ifdef __BEOS__ 172:typedef long ssize_t; 173:#endif /* __BEOS__ */ 174:#endif /* !(defined (__GNUG__) && defined (size_t)) */ I dunnow, but did you edit any header files? or.. codemastr knows more about the ./configure stuff however ;). |

I don't edit headerfiles, there are mostly good as is. So what must i do to resolve this problem, because i have it in both versions 3.2beta16 and 3.2beta17 ? |

perhaps.. apt-get --reinstall install gcc-2.95 or maybe try gcc-3.0.. I dunnow, I have a box with the same config and it works just fine: # gcc -v Reading specs from /usr/lib/gcc-lib/i386-linux/2.95.4/specs gcc version 2.95.4 20011002 (Debian prerelease) # dpkg --list gcc|grep gcc ii gcc 2.95.4-14 The GNU C compiler. got anything special enabled? (ssl, ziplinks, ipv6), if so.. try disabling it... OTOH I've ssl+zip+ipv6 all enabled here, so.. |

Well i hade disabled all that stuff, maybe i need to try to enable it... Will see :) i will also check agian the GCC version, but it seams it's the same version you have. anyway for sofare, thx for your time :) |
