- Redhat version? (cat /etc/redhat_version [or redhat_release I dunnow]) - gcc -v - whereis cpp - ls -al /lib/cpp* - cpp --version :p I've not heard this problem before, but it's detecting the preprocessor wrong or something. |

uh ok, and could you attach config.log? Hmmmm wasn't gcc 2.96 the fucked up compiler version?? ;). |

yup, upgrade :p. it's missing header files and 2.96 is considered fucked up ( http://gcc.gnu.org/gcc-2.96.html ). |
