| Summary | 0001107: Unreal sometimes stops without any log | ||||
| Description | Somehow since beta17 unreal crashes sometimes. The process is just away and there's no log or anything else. When it happened first i thought it was a kill -9 or so but it happened several times now here and a few days ago someone in the support chan told the same problem. So i think it's a bug. | ||||

I just upgraded to the new beta on a Windows 2000 Server box and it does the same thing. No rhyme or reason... the service and process just stops, even though I have it set to automatically restart. I have to go into Services and start it again. This happened several times today. |

Either it has a problem with generating a core file due a OS or shell limit, or it was killed "hard" (like SIGKILL) like you said (happends a lots on shells due resource limits). If you really blame us you could try running: (strace -f -F src/ircd -F 2>&1|tail -n 200 >strace.log)& that would "trace" the ircd process till it dies and write the last 200 lines to strace.log. This would however consume pretty much CPU, so... and if even strace.log is 0 bytes then you can really be sure someone killed your (strace) process ;). Anyway, I don't know if this problem was even already solved... *stop* |
