| Summary | 0001143: badwords blocks more than what it should | ||||
| Description | We are using badwords as a spam blocker, since it does an excellent job at it, however, we have one issue, in the configs, we have: badword channel { word "kiss.to"; action "block"; }; badword message { word "kiss.to"; action "block"; }; instead of just blocking the spamsite kiss.to, it also blocks any message with kiss to in it, such as 'blows a kiss to $nick' It appears to be ignoring the '.' in the string to match to. Any ideas on this would be appreciated. | ||||

ok...my bad, i should have scrolled further down the bug page. 0000950 gives me the answer as to why it happens, but since i am not a coder, by any stretch of the imagination, how would you work around it? |

perhaps escaping the dot works, like "kiss\.to" |
