| Description | In 3.1 it was possible to give people the right to do /sa* commands but to give them only the title serveradmin. (i think you just had to add the A before a). In 3.2 you always become a servicesadmin, doesn't matter what's first (at least with the word-flags). Maybe there's a way to do it but if there isn't, maybe you could add the possibility to give the right to do /sa* commands. | ||||

Sounds more like hiding your real access rights (or at least I've heard of people abusing it for that, like on a network where the admins on that server are only allowed to be serveradmin). edited on: 07-24-03 22:29 |

hm i don't think you can abuse that - "<oper> hey i can't do /samode" - "<user> ok then i don't join the channtl" - "<oper> ok, i lied, i can" hm... :) a services admin can do svsjoin and a globop can be a services admin - so he can join a user too without the servicesadmin flag. it can be useful when you have server admins who want to be able to da /sa* - i know, it sounds like it's for abusing. and it can be abused but it can be too if you give him servicesadmin. to prevent it you'd have to remove the commands :) |

See the "sa" that stands for "services admin" which is why the /sa* commands are limited to services admins. |
