Steps To Reproducesay in your links block you put .. services.localhost.net

1. hm? you mean if a services server is linked but has no u lines? or even if it isn't linked?
2. get http://www.vulnscan.org/tmp/m_svsmode.c and put it in the src/modules dir (overwrite the old one) and recompile, a bug in a few SVS* commands can cause this problem too.

Yes you right there syzop, that is with a services link.

for example, this is how you might have the link block defined.

link services.master.net
{
  Your details in here of course.
};

and then on your u-line you might have something like.

ulines {
        services.localhost.net;
};

Now as it appears in the above configuration, it is a simple mistake on my behalf when configuring the ircd and the ulines should be services.master.net instead of services.localhost.net.

Strangly thou, the services will link with the above configuration. I also remember with the older versions of unrealircd that this would cause connection failure. This is still the case right?

Then when services.master.net is issueing commands to the ircd, the ircd will automatically reverse them.

For example:- If ChanServ sets

/Mode #TheAdminArea +A

then the ircd would issue this command straight after.

would reverse the mode to -A to the channel #TheAdminArea

Then all of suddenly, massive spirts of such messages like in the previous post would show up.

Anyways, I shall now go and recompile the ircd with the new m_svsmode.c and see what happens, but I also wanted to thank you for your help.

Ah ok, now I understand :).

Well if it still crashes, could you send the core dump (ircd.core, core, core.42423, whatever it is :P) and the src/ircd binary to me? [email protected]
