| Description | As you can see that with chmode +m only +%@&~ can talk and +M only +r users can talk too, I think that is would be useful that if you are in one channel with +m at least, wich you haven't voice or higher, when you type /quit message, the message should be replaced with "Client exited" or anything; the same with +M (if you aren't +r). | ||||

yeah I had this idea too. But... Personally I'm always in 1 +m room where I receive up to date news information so that would mean my quit msgs are always stripped.. that sucks ;p Hmmm I see that part reasons aren't stripped for +M when you are not +r, I'll fix that. I just think of a funny workaround: let the user part without reason (or with reason 'Client exiting' or something) from the affected channels and quit it then. I'm... insane... |

That's true, but try to use /hope hello! /hope world!! /hope how /hope are /hope you? using latest mIRC version, fex. In despite of the fact that the channel is +m (or +M) I can send text to the channel, I can "talk", and I can spam. |

/hope is not an mIRC command (yes I've 6.1), probably scripted :P. But if it quits with that message and then reconnects+rejoins then YES I KNOW, I've known that for years and I just explained that I was thinking about a good solution to do something about it without affecting the "good guys". (On a sidenote, if a user is able to do this many quit commands at your network you should have a look at throttling ;p.) |

ough, I meant /hop (lapsus linguae). I advice that if you are thinking to leave out part with +M (referer: Hmmm I see that part reasons aren't stripped for +M when you are not +r, I'll fix that.) |

Hm it still makes no sense but that doesn't matter ;). +M part thingy fixed in .1909. This bug/feature request is rejected for now. Maybe we will reconsider it about a few months, I don't know.. I don't like the removing of quit msg, and the part solution is ugly code (=usually dangerous/unstable) so I don't want to put it in :|. |
