That would make the hostmasking virtually useless. using that method, I could have determined the real hostname in about 8 seconds. |

I believe that I have not expressed myself absolutely well. I meant that instead of being in this case "@2668E1A.Red-81-36-212.pooles.rima-tde.net" it would be better if it were in "@2668E1A.R2DD53G5HERT.RE6.HTY.4ds". This way is the dns totally masked |

Then users would be able to determine either the top level domain of a hostmask, so I don't think it's useful. |

You really think that this "@2668E1A.R2DD53G5HERT.RE6.HTY.4ds" is more easy to decipher than this "@2668E1A.Red-81-36-212.pooles.rima-tde.net"? |

Exael23: no and that's the problem. It's a false sense of security btw. Anyway, there's no perfect solution here and I've seen enough of yet-another-masking-request-for-ISP-<whatever>. |
