| Summary | 0001264: "JOIN" not see by custom services | ||||
| Description | I've custom-coded services for use with 3.2-beta17. So far, everything works fine except one thing: JOIN doesn't get sent to the services server. [21:38] Connection reply: :Dolphin PRIVMSG #bothouse :Maianna joined #training and was announced as a Admin for BService. [21:38] Connection reply: :Maianna PART #training While PARTs are being sent to the services server, JOINs are not. This is the raw code being sent through the server connection. All other functions seems to be fine [NICK (user registration), MODE, SJOIN, SVS[2]MODE, QUIT, PART, PRIVMSG/NOTICE, TKL +/- (line), HELP, and all the other commands]. | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | JOIN a channel; the JOIN isn't sent to the services server. PART the same channel and that =will= be see just fine. All other commands seems to pass fine as well. | ||||
| Additional Information | Since it is the raw, incoming code being analyzed, it's not a scripting/coding issue; JOIN is just not being sent. I would have asked about this on channel, but ... [21:52] <Sharpei> !n5-a6-a1-b7-a4-b [21:52] <UnrealHelper> You have failed the quiz. You will now be banned from #unreal-support for 24 hours. After 24 hours you may retake the quiz. ... we're not ALL *NIX experts. Apparently, for not studying *NIX for 20 years deserves a ban. | ||||

to quote: All other functions seems to be fine [NICK (user registration), MODE, SJOIN, SVS[2]MODE, QUIT, PART, PRIVMSG/NOTICE, TKL +/- (line), HELP, and all the other commands]. -- SJOIN would be your JOIN to the channel. probably your services not being coded correctly, which then isn't a bug of unreal... |

That was my guess too (however I didn't want to write anything), because it works well for me. And for the quiz: it's not as hard as a windows user can't pass it, definitely if you choose windows as your operating system. |
