| Summary | 0001305: Regarding the "BadWords" feature - not working | ||||
| Description | I'm not sure wither what I will report is a bug or just something went wrong for some reason! it's about the badwords feature, i was using beta17, then upgraded to beta18 long time ago and everything is working perfectly, today I've decided to enable the badwords feature, I made a file " badwords.conf " in Unreal3.2 dir. and added the following (just for testing): badword all { word test22; replace shoot; }; but unfortunately, when I connected to the server (using 2 different nicks without getting ircop status) and set both nicks mode to +G , I tried to test it, but it doesn't seem to work! I msged nick1 using nick2 with " test22 " it should be replaced by "shoot" but it didn't replace anything! I tried to ./unreal rehash also ./unreal restart , but it didn't solve the problem. I have 3 servers and 1 hub connected to each other, should I add that .conf file to all servers and hub ? or perhaps I have to ./unreal stop then start it again?! I've also tested it as " badword message { " but still, it didn't work. Sincerely, David T. | ||||

Well if you put them in badwords.conf you need to include that file in your mainconf (include "badwords.conf";) and rehash. Yes it should be loaded at all servers (well that's the short answer :p, badwords are filtered "at the source"). With these kinds of "it doesn't work"-bugs you should always do a /stats <something> to verify that the settings were read correctly ('/stats b' will show the badword list). |
