Description/OPER requires the user name in /OPER ***USERNAME*** *pwd* to be in the correct case. Should'nt be case sensitive.

There is no other 'Case Sensitive' validation against username anywhere else within an IRCD. Any validation against whether a username is already logged in is based upon non case-sensitive characters.
It is a bit of a pain when connecting programatically through custom services or bots to ensure that the OPER command matches the case specified in the config.
Just seems unnecesary to me for the OPER command to return 'No O-lines for your host' just because of a case difference between the command supplied and the host specified in the config.

In my opinion it is an added level of security... as those who shouldn't know the case don't; another step to stopping them

I do agree to a certain degree with you Praetorian_ and did assume that this was why this was coded this way, however I would like to see some sort of configurable option in the config to turn off the case-sensitive check. Maybe this is a feature request rather than a 'bug'.
