| Description | Hello, we have lots of users expecially at Saturday nights. But after 3000 users server becomes full (3072 FD limit and 3000 user limit) and i forward ppl to my other server(linked), there is no problem here. But At default server ircops always get *** Notice -- All connections in use. message and it is like flood. Even making mode -s doesnt change anything. | ||||

Oh my the way there is a problem like this at IP Mismatch, too. Lots of ip mismatch messages. |

The IP mismatch stuff should only be sent to snomask +j users, if you don't want to see those, set /mode yournick -s -j |

Sorry; i didnt mean that, "i dont want to see these messages." I mean this messages can be flood like. Same ip and same ip mismatch sometimes happen a lot of time. I only want to mention that it is flood like. |

will "fix" this within a few days, prolly some configurable ratelimiting or just one every 60s... at least better than now... if you are under attack or something you usually don't want to get flooded by the server too... that's the idea ;). Will do the same for 'Too many connections' in a class (perhaps use same setting). |

Fixed in CVS (.2075): - Limited 'All Connections in Use' message to max 1 every 15s, this DOES NOT mean we will introduce throttling of other msgs (or making this configurable)... this is just an exception because this msg is sent to _all opers_ and you cannot disable it by unsetting certain snomasks. Anything lower than 15s would be bad anyway since this is a very serious error condition. Requested by LoVeR (0001412). Maybe this is not what you originally requested, but you are pretty rare.. most people use dns round robin and want always be notified in case all connections are in use :p. Anyway, this is better than before ;). |
