| Description | There is a unknown flood ban at unreal. But how about Excess Floods? Wont it be good to add Glines for excess floods too? And about badwords; We use badwords as anti spam. but as you know * isnt really working so ppl finds new spam kinds like (w)(w)(w) or {i r c}. | ||||

I suppose the excess flood stuff could be made more configurable. But what are you talking about with the badwords stuff? |

Let Me tell... Today i add smth to conf like this; badword message { word "[i]"; action block ; }; auto message of spam bots is like this "<Lamer> Come to [i][r][c].[bla].(c)(o)(m)" (because they cant write irc or com or net) After rehash every word with "i" become a badword, so nobody can chat , i removed it. badwords with { and } cant even pass rehash test. So i think badwords dont work with [ ( or { . (Maybe More) But this kind of line works badword message { word " w w w "; action block ; }; so if someone writes <Lamer2> You wanna see Anna Naked? visit w w w. bla. c o m It is blocked I mean cant badwords work like Q:lines? *i*r*c* or *w*w*w* and get rid of all this kind of spam messages. I know that badwords protection isnt a spam protection but a lot of ppl is using badwords.conf like this. |

I think the problem there is you didn't actually read the documentation. The badword system uses a very advanced system to allow filtering, it allows full regexp support. Try searching Google for "regex" or "regexp" and it should give you a ton of information. |

Well i read the documentation lots of times but maybe i missed. Only Regex thing was at Aliases as i remember. Updating badwords.*.conf files can be nice. (So at last this thread become a documentation report...Strange Cosmic things) |

Hey I'm not stupid... you requested that feature (excess flood) already in #0001389 and I rejected it. I won't even explain why I rejected it now since you are that arrogant/whateveritis. |
