Ok first off, rather than posting 5 bugnotes, post 1. And rather than posting the make output 3 times, post it once. When you ran ./Config did it say it was installing TRE? Did it succeed? does /home/lyote/IRCD/Unreal3.2/extras/regexp exist? What about home/lyote/IRCD/Unreal3.2/extras/regexp/include/tre/regex.h ? |

It starts out with "Configuring TRE library" or something to that effect. Everything after that just about is TRE's stuff. Maybe doing something like ./Config -q > somefile would be best? (-q is 'quiet' mode, it just uses whatever ./Config values you used the last time you ran it). That way everything would be easy to search through. |

Hmm this is certainly interesting. compiling TRE regex library make: Permission denied installing TRE regex library make: Permission denied That is where the problem is. Any idea why it would say you don't have access to use make? |

interesting, i run into this every now and then. i run a configure but then i get permission denied for make. but then if i run gmake things work out. and other times if i run make it works fine, but if i run gmake it fails with the permission denied. seems buggy in the O/S if u ask me.. Could i change the make in the script to be a gmake ? |

Yeah, lets give that a try, if that works then all I need to do is add something to use gmake if that exists. Open Unreal-directory/configure and go to line 9880, that should be "make" then 3 lines below that should be "make install" |

yes gmake did work. i will try to put the configs in place and see if it successfully worked. |

Now i run into the issue of it not finding libcurl but the curlinstall seems to have successfully completed.... Your system should NOT be looking for libcurl.so.2 since (if you followed the INSTALL.REMOTEINC and ran ./curlinstall) it specifically says NOT to create dynamic libraries and can therefore only link to a static library. |

ok i changed the curlinstall script also to use gmake, and it worked now, so far. although i ran into an issue with it not wanting to copy the libares.a file into the curl/lib directory but i finally got that to work also. |

Finally, ok this bug not can be closed, but i had to make sure everything wuz gmake b4 running the scripts but now that is done. everything has been installed |
