| Summary | 0001605: New usermode +j | ||||
| Description | Since UnrealIRCD has support for CR java, why not add +j usermode? Simply check the start of the possible password (parv[2]) in s_user.c after /* Copy password to the passwd field if it's given after NICK If it begins with http://, then copy it to an url field in the user record. Then show it in the /whois.. (I've actually done this already on my server, can send the patch if wanted). Maybe have it as a define so it can be enabled if they wish to use CR java with UnrealIRCD. v00d00 is a java user from http://(site here) | ||||

Ok well first thing, it would be wasteful to include a url field for all users when maybe 1 out of every 1000 on one out of every 100 networks is going to be a CR javachat. Furthermore, I really don't see the purpose of CR javachat support in Unreal anymore. I mean at the time it was added, CR was the only really good javachat program around. However this is not the case. There are now several decent java applets around (jIRC, EIRC, PJIRC) to name a few. If it were up to me CR javachat would be removed entirely. Lastly, I don't see why your suggestion requires a new usermode. |

I don't see why this would be useful either. |
