From the documentation: set::options::dont-resolve; If present hosts of incoming users are not resolved, can be useful if many of your users don't have a host to speed up connecting. Note that since no resolving is done you also can't have host based allow blocks. As you can see it's only about connecting users, link blocks like for outgoing server connections can still contain dns... So I don't know what you are complaining... |

The lines are not "useless" because there are other things resolving is used for other than to look up a user's host. As for it still resolving people's hosts with the resolving disabled, you'll need to provide more information. |
