| Summary | 0001625: Hiding the servers IP addresses while linking.. | ||||
| Description | While linking let's say a services server to the network, it can look like this: "[04:29:04] -client.server.irc.net- *** Notice -- (link) Link client.server.irc.net -> services.irc.net[[email protected]] established" Which is quite a security risk if you have a retarded IRCop on the network.. Sure I know, adding untrustable IRCops are retarded itself.. but yet, let's say someone "hack" a server and get access to view the LocOps for example.. It's like the reason SSL are included.. sure, it's not UnrealIRCd's fault if some box between two servers get hacked, but yet.. increased security "in case" are always useful.. same goes for this imo.. :) Simply make a define in config.h and a if statement with two different outputs if it's defined or not.. or something, I'm not the coder here. ;) Regards, Z3l3zT | ||||
