Summary0001656: Unreal3.2-RC2 crashes without any visible reason
DescriptionIt crashed... but I'm still wondering why... It was build with all debug informations, so the core file is backtracable.
Here's the backtrace :
#0 0x0808571f in find_cache_number (rptr=0x0, numb=0x844e0f8 "S\230ífú\t") at res.c:1301
1301 for (i = 0; HE(cp)->h_addr_list[i]; i++)
(gdb) bt
#0 0x0808571f in find_cache_number (rptr=0x0, numb=0x844e0f8 "S\230ífú\t") at res.c:1301
#1 0x08084844 in gethost_byaddr (addr=0x844e0f8 "S\230ífú\t", lp=0xbfffed80) at res.c:420
#2 0x08088f3f in start_of_normal_client_handshake (acptr=0x844ddb8) at s_bsd.c:1353
#3 0x08088cc1 in add_connection (cptr=0x8240c78, fd=132) at s_bsd.c:1337
#4 0x08089711 in read_message (delay=2, listp=0x8206da0) at s_bsd.c:1872
#5 0x0807fe3b in main (argc=0, argv=0x82025c0) at ircd.c:1450
#6 0x42015704 in __libc_start_main () from /lib/tls/libc.so.6

It looks like an Unreal error (not like previous bugs which were just problems with curl/openssl)
Steps To ReproduceI don't know how it happened ...

I don't know if it can help ...

(gdb) print i
$1 = 136160992

I'll mail you off-list (bad word..) w/some mpatrol instructions and other stuff :p.

Has several 3rd party modules loaded and did important .h changes: CHINESE_NICK, JAPANESE_NICK and TOPICLEN=608 [!!] (asked to lower this). Also ssl+remote includes+zip is enabled.

Note that this bug looks pretty much like 0001475, the bug that 'dissapeared'... that was also Linux, redhat (7.2 however), and SSL btw.

Anyway, mpatrol instructions mailed...
If it's garbage or not reproducable I'll presume it's because of the mods...
On the other hand if there's output pointing to an unreal bug, then.. good!
We'll just wait and see :).

Ok, closing for now...
If I ever get results from a clean ircd OR good mpatrol proof then I'll be happy to reopen (&fix) it, but for now I don't trust it enough ;p.
