| Description | As far as I can tell I found a problem with remote includes. I added a ban channel block which was entered incurrectly, when the changes were made I rehashed the server and it insisted that there was still a error in the config file. I rehashed other servers that read the same file, and replied [02:59] -realm.va.us.webworkadmin.net- *** Notice -- Loading IRCd configuration .. [02:59] -realm.va.us.webworkadmin.net- *** Notice -- Configuration loaded without any problems .. | ||||

Hm, do you think it was incorrectly caching the old file? :p Just to be sure, you did: - wrong conf is online - /rehash, get error - replace wrong conf - /rehash, still error - [and X more times the above, still the same] ? |

Apparently it I wasn't the only one having this problem and it was explained by codemastr as a limitation of remote includes. http://unrealircd.digitaltoxicity.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=182 |

Did you have a 0 bytes remote includes file then? |

Well I didn't wait long enough to try "solving" this problem. I shut the server down and brought it back up. But if there is an alternatives suggestion that would work better, I'd love to know. But as it was explained to me, once the error from the remote file is rehashed into the server it doesn't reload the file, it keeps the "tmp/1234.tmp file instead. |

Ah well... Perhaps it has been fixed, perhaps not... but it's untracable now :P. |
