my only question is, are ircops ment to see other ircops who have +H? if so then yes theres a bug becoz me and zell both dont get a result, if not, then i can understand. (Why would ircops want to hide from the other ircops anyway?) |
bingo... like what is join-on-oper for? lol... they took off invisible users a while ago for that reason lol |
The /who +m thingy was fixed a week ago or so in CVS. Yes, +H opers should be shown as opers to other opers (wow, interresting sentence). As for your other stuff, I'll take a look at it later, will be fixed after 3.2. Oh I presume you mean that +H ircops are shown in '/who 0 o' if the command is issued by an oper, wasn't able to reproduce that as a normal user. |
right, tested this as oper. assuming normal users are still denied the information (hopefully) |
/who 0 o or /who +m o doesn't show ircops to normal users, should be fixed too. bearbeitet am: 2004-04-29 06:35 |

>/who 0 o or /who +m o doesn't show ircops to normal users, should be fixed too. If those opers are +H, of course they wouldn't be shown to normal users! |
They wasn't +H. Tested on 3.2-Final |

aquanight, Are you able to read the posts before replying? Because that is something that you dont really seem to be doing. The whole discussion was about them having +H. It was omitted once, and you assumed. Please dont. As for /who +m N, I refer to the helpop documentation: "Flag m <usermodes>: user has <usermodes> set on them, only o/A/a for nonopers" I dont know why this is, but thats what it is. |
About the not showing any opers... are the opers +i? |
Yep the opers are +i, but that should only affect getting their name from an external /NAMES, right? |
Zell, you was too fast ;) I mean, every IRCop is +i... normally all users are getting +i on connect, and there isn't any way, to excempt IRCops from that, because set:modes-on-oper only works with setting modes, not unsetting ;) |
I'll have to think about it... |
+i is supposed to hide people in /who unless they are in a common channel with the person issuing the /who alond with hiding people in an external names list (in other words, +i hides you unless the person knows where you are, it is that way to stop spambots from connecting, /who *, and spamming off the list returned.) |
Heh yeah, so they just run /list, join a random channel and spam all the participants. |
And that is what chmode +s is used for. |
This stuffie has been long fixed -- close bug? [Sorry, i'm running thru the list of stuff under my "reported" list on My View -- open bugs are cluttering it :-P] |
*nod* the reported issue was fixed long ago indeed. As for opers showing up in /who regardless of +i state.. let's just keep it at a 'no'. |
