| Summary | 0001757: [crash] include "http://"; | ||||
| Description | I was trying to do every stupid things I can in order to get UnrealIRCd to crash, and now I could find such a bug, which is always reproducable. This is done by parsing one of the following lines in the configuration: include http://; include http://blah; | ||||
| 3rd party modules | |||||
Perhaps this is the same, but "http://blah/" crashes as well. |
I think it happends if no filename is specified, like: http://www.blah.com/ instead of http://www.blah.com/main.conf However I don't think this really affects many people, so not sure if it's worth open up the source again for this :). Crashes caused by mistakes in the config have a lower priority for me anyway, bugs during "running", caused by users, are much more important. Anyway, happy hunting :p. |

Ok hmm, perhaps a better idea is to temporary add a quick&safe workaround for this :). Will do that. |

Ok, temporary workaround added in CVS [.2232].. it doesn't crash now anymore. I didn't really care about http:// and http://blah and http://blah/ but http://www.blah.com/ crashing, even if rarely used, seemed good to get fixed. Better error checking (and better temporary filenames) will be done after 3.2. |
