Summary | 0001795: implement CGI:IRC support?
Description | Hi, In the CGI:IRC documentation, I've read something about this: "There are several ways of achieving this, the way that works best with CGI:IRC is patching your ircd to allow spoofing of hosts, currently there is only a patch for bahamut, but writing patches for other ircds should be quite easy. The way the bahamut patch works is you add an I: line with a password of CGIIRC to match the hostmask that the connection from the server running CGI:IRC comes from. This will then read the hostname from CGI:IRC (with the realhost_as_password option enabled - get the patch for 0.5). Note that this trusts the host running CGI:IRC to spoof any host and it is transparent to the IRCD." Now am I right, or is this NOT possible with UnrealIRCD? (If I'm wrong: how do you do it?)

Duplicate of http://bugs.unrealircd.org/bug_view_advanced_page.php?bug_id=0001580 But yeah, better CGIIRC Support (i.e. not via a module) would indeed be quite nice :-) Tinke_lat: ATM the best solution is AngryWolf's CGIIRC Module: http://www.angrywolf.org |
