Summary0001880: Configuration for oper names
DescriptionCould the name of the role (that is : netadmin, coadmin & co) be specified in the configuration ? For example, a conf in the set block specifying the role for a flag ?
By the way, the z flag announces "is a Secure Connection", maybe this could be corrected in "is using a Secure Connection" (well, this is ... not important ;))

Well no.. we have certain titles/levels that gives at least SOME indication of what someone really can... it would be very confusing to suddenly show something different in whois while using other (official) terms everywhere. [I'm sure others can think of other/better reasons]

You can however easily ADD a custom title, like 'is the network owner' or whatnot via oper::swhois.

Well, I suggested that because we (our network) decided to adapt the IRC roles to our general hierarchy, so I thought it would be cool to choose how you call your opers.
It doesn't cost us much to change the original source, but it makes a "mod" version, and the hidden goal is to have a vanilla version being able to meet our requirements ;)
This is not important though ...

Also, the +z thing has already been discussed. I cant find the bug, cause this computer is acting up, however, it cant be changed cause it might break stuff.

As for the custom oper thing, what about making it optional if it ever happened?
(not a huge fan, but some people might like/use it)

On one network, they modded the IRCd to use their own strings, usually to make them fit with the general setting of the network itself (it's one of those "small nets" where 1 channel pretty much dominates and ops in that channel are usually IRCops :) ) . I don't know the exact strings they used, but I hope this shows as a good example of how it might be used :) .

I can tell you that they did include the standard levels.
