| Summary | 0001905: Channel mode +f has netsplit detection? | ||||
| Description | Would +f for setting joins (ie: +f 5j:3) have netsplit detection, so it doesn't take action for a returning netsplit? | ||||

It knows when a server is rejoining because a server will send EOS (end of sync), after sending all user and channel data out to the other servers. Anything between server join and EOS will not be counted, everything after will be. AFAIK anyway :) Edit: Also, probably only applies to Local Clients to the server anyway... save double processing... edited on: 2004-06-27 02:54 |

Right, the primary reason for introducing EOS was for this. I'll document somewhere that +f j doesn't apply to netjoins. Also, it of course counts both global+local users (uh in non-netsplit joins of course) because else you don't know when the limit is reached ;). |
