| Summary | 0001908: Auto-op on empty channel | ||||
| Description | An auto-op of the only user in a channel remaining as alone (no services, or anything) would be cool. So say everybody leaves, and you're the only person in the channel without ops, it'd be cool and make the IRCD nicer to have it auto-op you, that user, without having to rejoin, or whatever. | ||||

Well, first of all, if you are the only user you could just /cycle #blah and boom you're opped... BUT RFC (can't remember if it was 1459, or the 281?) did make mention of the server automatically op'ing users in an opless channel... can't remember the algo' it defined off the top of my head... |

Well that's not in 1459.. and I think you mean random auto-op'ing in opless !channels.. which is of course not valid here. (those 2??? RFC's are ircnet-only anyway) No, I think this would be a bad idea.. I can already see quite some conflicts with services and stuff... Just rejoin! :P |
