| Summary | 0002000: this is for a request | ||||
| Description | I have clients autojoin a channel for monitoring connections. This makes it easier to keep unwanted rooting botnets off the network. It seems that they auto join the channel, before the vhosts are set by hostserv. Is there a way to make the autojoin set on a timer so it will not join untill after a set amount of seconds?. Or is there a way to make the vhost get set before the auto join is executed | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | just enable the auto-join on connect feature | ||||
| Additional Information | any help will be greatly appreciated | ||||

If you want it to wait until their host is changed, then use an addon for your services to manage the autojoin. Using a timer is a hack, and an ugly one. <user> I've been connected for 2 minutes already, why did I just join #network? <user2> Services are lagged so I joined before my host changed! etc. It's a bad way to do it. |
