| Summary | 0002064: Major bug with channels that have special charachters. | ||||
| Description | Whenever someone make a channel with any special characters including the alt codes it will not show those channels on a channel /list command. So as a response to that I figured I would just deny the channels in the unreal config. However in doing so I cannot find a way to add the * " ? characters. Also is there a fix or another way so I won't have to do each alt code by hand that would make for a hell of a config file. Any suggestions is welcomed for how to fix this. | ||||

Quoting from the FAQ ( http://www.vulnscan.org/UnrealIrcd/faq/ ): Running - If I type /list (even as ircop) it hides certain channels First, /list does of course hide +s channels unless you are an oper or already in that channel. Another possibility is that it's the channelname, mIRC for example has an option called 'Hide non-alphanumeric channels' under 'list options' which is enabled by default and which will hide channels like #.blah, other clients might have similar "features". == edited on: 2004-09-09 13:08 |

oh and @ your question about blocking of '?' or '*' channels.. just escape it: deny channel { channel "*\?*"; reason "abc"; }; deny channel { channel "*\**"; reason "abc"; }; |
