| Description | One time after restarting Windows Server 2003 (after Windows Update was done) I received 'Error binding stream socket to IP 0.0.0.0 port 6667 - irc.MYSERVERHERE.com[]:Permission denied' in the Service Log when Unreal tried to start up. Previously the listen block was set to: listen *:6667; Now to get it to work, I have to specify the IP address: listen 169.254.0.1:6667; | ||||

That's not a bug. "binding stream socket to IP 0.0.0.0 port 6667 - irc.MYSERVERHERE.com[]:Permission denied'" * is 0.0.0.0. We asked it to bind to 0.0.0.0:6667. The OS told us no. There is nothing Unreal can do about that. I guess the sysadmin decided not to allow you to bind to that IP. |
