Is it possible that someone in the channel sent a message that appears to be from another person on the channel? if so is this not a security flaw? Also have a people able to be in a channel even though their nick and/or hostmask (specific to each character is a match)? Do i just need to upgrade to newest version to fix these? | ||||

Sounds more like you (your client) got infected by some virus. Assuming you use mIRC, check (all) your remotes. URL is down now but I presume it was a page that exploits a vulnerability and infects the person with a trojan. About seeing it differently, well.. usually trojans do something like /amsg, so that's probably it. |
