| Description | I think there should be an error saying that you cannot use aliases to message channels that you are currently on. It seems this is causing confusion among some people. Example, using massads as the alias name: -> MASSADS :Some ad here. <- :irc.myserver.net ??? Stealth :You may not use this command while on #Channel (??? Should be replaced with a numeric) | ||||

Why exactly shouldn't you be able to use the command if you are on the channel? |

You mean aliases on the server or aliases in the client? The first is easily fixed, the second doesn't exist from the server's point of view... |

i think he means that, the server shouldnt allow him to do that if he is already on the channel and can talk normally. |

Ack - but .. what? What do you mean? Give me a good use of it and why there should be this restriction and why it shouldn't be a flag in the alias? |

Bug 0002261 is partially it Unreal won't send a message to the channel if you're in it, IIRC it just completely ignored the message when I tested and wrote this. |
