If you don't mind I'll use 0002315 for this.
I'm currently compiling, so I'll have results soon.

It's not starting with the .251 CVS.

The error is:

* unrealircd.conf:34: loadmodule src/modules/commands.so: failed to load: tmp/707A20C9.commands.so: undefined symbol: m_nick_Load

No modules
No source modification.
I've not change my box or the OS. With this cvs i have the problem. Before everything was ok!

Well I don't have this bug here, so I hope for you that you are not wrong :P.

Did you follow my instructions from 0002315? I'm going to repeat them again anyway:
- cvs update (from your main unrealircd dir, cvs update -d -P)
- make clean; ./Config; make && make install
- make sure you are not loading old modules.

Another aproach is to, rm -rf, really cvs checkout again, ./Config, make.. and just don't specify any directory to install to (2/3rd question). If that too fails, then it's getting interesting :P.

look..
before when i was updating the ircd i was doing in home dir:
cvs -z3
-d :pserver:[email protected]:/home/cmunk/ircsystems/cvsroot co -r unreal3_2_fixes -d Unreal3.2 unreal

then a make and a restart. thats was working. now this is not working. It says this error.

BTW is compiling fine. The problem is that is not starting

and before that you rm -rf'd Unreal3.2, right?

Ok, let's try another aproach... what are the loadmodule lines you use in the conf?

ok, hm, I fixed a couple of makefile things, perhaps you could re-checkout and try again?

* Loading IRCd configuration ..
* unrealircd.conf:34: loadmodule src/modules/commands.so: failed to load: tmp/F02AC5F.commands.so: Undefined symbol "m_nick_Load"
[error] IRCd configuration failed to load
Possible error encountered (IRCd seemily not started)
=====================================================
Check above for possible errors, and this output of
ircd.log. If you cannot solve the problem, read
Unreal.nfo on where to get support
=====================================================

Before some days i was doing this while ircd was running on folder Unreal3.2:

1) cd $HOME
2) cvs -z3 -d :pserver:[email protected]:/home/cmunk/ircsystems/cvsroot co -r unreal3_2_fixes -d Unreal3.2 unreal
3) cd Unreal3.2
4) make
5) ./unreal restart
6) Unreal was successfuly restarting with the new CVS version.

Now it stops if i restart after an update like this and when i try to start it.. says the above error.

I've test it to a new and clean Unreal.
No modules.. not anything

yes, but.. CVS is work-in-progress, so your whole ircd could crash one day, and run perfectly with a cvs version from another day ;).

Anyway, did you try latest CVS? .256 (or later, .257)?
