| Description | That would be nice if you implement a feature to choose whether it is allowed to use different charsets in nick at the same time. It is very dangerous - because one can register a nickname Petya, and than someone can pretend to be Petya just using the same looking symbol from other charset (like P, e, y, a from Cyrillic)/ Thanks for your understanding! | ||||

I don't think this would be nice... It is a NetAdmin's job to make sure this doesn't happen, and stop it when it does. |

Now tell me please - how can NetAdmin "make sure this doesn't happen"? He can only stop it when it happens, but that could be too late! (Someone has already been cheated by a pretender) |

hm. http://bugs.unrealircd.org/view.php?id=2882 looks like this. In my network we implement it (locales support (no need recompile ircd for adding more charsets, casemapping and mixes beetween english/russian letters (gui for making locale files are attach). Needs to fix anope for this (patch we have too for 1.6.5 stable)). discuss is very little: Peoples complain that his/her nick already in use and he\she cannot rule nick from services (ghost and etc). Opers must kill abuser and make forbid on all variatns of spelling nick in russsian and english.
