Just use /gzline -*@@1.2.3.4 -> no problem at all. |

Thanks, it worked :) I tried to use /gzline -@@1.2.3.4 and [email protected] but that didn't help so thought this was a bug :) Didn't manage to try -*@@ lol ;) Anyway, thanks once more. |

If GZLines are supposed to be IP only... then why do they even HAVE a user@ part? |

Agreed@aquanight. The user@ should be removed from (G)ZLines |

i think its fine using *@ip for gzlines, and i can also see uses for the *@ part -> 1 user has a bot, same ip, but different ident, an oper could ban the bot but not the user. |

No, you can do that with a G:line but not a GZ:line. a Z:line is on an IP/host, and is supposed to trigger regardless of login credentials. hence, they also work on servers, not just users. |

From the FAQ: Explanation: zlines (and global zlines, gzlines) need to be placed on an IPmask and not a HOSTmask. The reason for this is that zlines are processed right after accepting the connection, before any data is received and before any dns lookups are done. So a (g)zline disconnects the user IMMEDIATELY (that's, in fact, the difference between (g)zlines and klines/glines). |

Part of this bug is no bug.. just someone trying to be funny with weird *lines ;P. As for (g)zlines, that got fixed. Why only there? Because users (opers!) tended not to know it was only for ips |
