| Description | *1 +f channel modes acting up giving +NM etc away for no reasons in random channels. *2 Channels not being indexed in /list while they arent in +p or +s *3 Servers stopping accepting new connections giving the error of throttle wait 60 sec, again for no reason. Servers failing to link because host/name doesnt match while it does match and even were connected hours before the attempt. Note: All these issues started about 1.5 week ago. So far the servers never have shown these kind of things in the past 2 years. Nothing was changed in the past 3 weeks on the network. (Not to unreal, not to services or anything else). | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | At this moment, I can not reproduce these errors/issues as they come and go. I fixt the throttle issue by restarting the ircd, other issues arent solved yet. | ||||

Can you doublecheck the time in unrealircd (not just the time at the server! but in the actual ircd!)... you can do this by doing: /quote TSCTL ALLTIME (do this also seperately on unlinked servers) And paste that back here, thanks ;) |

Just to add.. Both issue 2 and 3 indicate an incorrect time or a past incorrect time switch (eg back and forth), 1 can also easily indicate this. |

Ok, the ircd clock is the TStime=xxx value, as you can see that is on almost all severs reasonably the same (+/- a few secs, not a problem for this), EXCEPT for wow.wowirc.com which is off enourmously. Basically, wow.worirc.com thinks it is May 22 (or May 21) 2006 [!]. [slightly offtopic] I don't understand how people can live with servers that have their time so much off.. even half of your other servers have their time off by 1-2 hours! I wished it would be mandatory for any computer on the internet to use NTP ;). [/slightly offtopic] PS: I don't understand what the current user usage has anything to do with running a 'TSCTL ALLTIME'. FYI, 'TSCTL ALLTIME' will only _report_ the current time info, it will not set anything (other TSCTL commands will though, but ALLTIME does not). EDIT: Oh ehm sorry if I sound annoying, it's just that we get so many people with weird issues (yesterday too), and then it simply turns out their clock is way off. |

lol, I understand. We used to run a synch, but apparently that completly failed so hadn't really thought of the times. I keep learning every day :) Thanks for helping. |
