Summary0002946: [linking] Server disconnect messages not appearing
DescriptionI've noticed while testing some stuff out that when a server-server link is broken, the server message indicating that the link is broken isn't being shown.

Here's what I did. I've got my main server and test server, and I shut down my test server. I should have received a message on my main server indicating this. I didn't get it.

Tested with UnrealIRCd 3.2.5-rc1 with the main server on Windows XP Professional and the test server on Windows XP Home (both Service Pack 2).

Hm, cannot reproduce it here I think.
*** LocOps -- Server testlink.test.net[127.0.0.1] closed the connection
That's on *NIX <-> *NIX though.
Killed the other ircd with kill -9

Questions:

The server that shut downed, was it the ircd or the whole machine/OS that was shut down?

Did you check if the server was still linked after the shutdown?

Just some guesses.

Are you able to reproduce it btw?

Was just the ircd that was shut down. Which I did by killing the service.

I'll check if it still thinks that it was linked.

Hmm... /stats X seems to think that the link was indeed broken.
