| Summary | 0003007: request for glines | ||||
| Description | Hi it would be great to have an option for allowing the server to save glines and spamfilters the issue is that all the glines added by the spamfilter are not added into anope db, therefore after killing more than 5000 botnet ips when the server restarts it has to redo the whole thing again. Obviously I can't add them manually on anope either :( I saw there is a module to save the glines, but unfortunately it's a little obsolete and i can't find one for windows version (which is the one i run) it would be great to have this option, it saves tons of traffic/spam/work | ||||

+1 great idea |

I'm sure there is a very good reason why glines are not saved. 1) If you wish to save them, set up a second Unreal and link them together. When one of them is restarted, the other will restore all the glines. 2) If it is a spamfilter creating the glines, just readd the spamfilter and they will be redone as bots connect. 3) www.x-tab.org/modules/ 4) Perhaps look into creating a services module that can save/restore glines... |

I think there was an angrywolf module that did this. |

I would say 4) is the way to go.. or some 3rd party module. Not considering this in core ircd atm. |
