| Summary | 0003056: Gline / Kline permanently banned message | ||||
| Description | the Gline / Kline message says permanently banned having the message saying you are permanently banned - is saying you can never connect again ever -- you will probably be taking the ban off which by saying you are permanently banned does not really apply as you will probably be taking the ban off it would be really really nice if the makers can take out the permanently banned message and just have it as you are banned or something like that without it saying permanently banned | ||||

For the vast majority of network administrations, if you ever want the user to consider returning, you will set an expiry time for the ban. If you don't it means yuo dont want to see them again, and the impression that the ban is permenant is either intended, or convenient. Perhaps your network could benefit from a set::default-bantime of something like 30 or 90 days. It won't say permenant and it will clean out really old bans for you. You can still override that by setting a time of 0 to make the ban permenant. |
