Summary0003167: all oper "classes" should get can_zline, and spamfilter should be separated
Descriptioni just noticed that all the oper classes (the flags local, global, coadmin admin, services-admin, netadmin don't get the can_zline by default, but they do get can_kline, to me this seems kinda dumb as any ban that u can do with /zline also applies to can_kline, so what i'd like to see is that those oper classes also get can_zline

also, with can_gkline, the spamfilter should be a separate oper flag (i'm not even sure u can use /spamfilter even with this flag unless your coadmin or higher, from what i can remember you can't, i could be wrong though). i think the can_gkline should only apply to /gline and /shun and a new flag (can_spamfilter?) should be added. My reasoning behind this is that most opers do not know how to use spamfilter properly as it uses regular expressions, and it can be very dangerous (like killing an entire network dangerous) if used wrong.

To add to the suggestion about can_spamfilter, i don't think this flag should be given by default at any class (not even netadmin)

We'll use a separate flag for spamfilter in 3.3*, indeed.

As for zline vs kline. zline also applies to servers (assuming you understand what a zline is you'll know why), hence more powerful.

In 3.3* we'll need some sort of improved oper privileges system anyway..

ohhh, so thats why can_zline is not included, i never realized it applied to servers also, but yeah i know what a zline is :P (an ip ban thats checked before the host or ident is resolved, hence its faster), maybe it should be global+ then for a normal /zline :)
