| Product Version | 3.2.6 | ||||
| Summary | 0003178: IRCD wont start | ||||
| Description | I dont know what the problem is but this is something i had with 3.2.5. I thought this would be fixed and its not. IRCD tells me it has started (and its in the process list, started.) When i check "netstat -a" i cant find any ports opened from the ircd. :\ This is ONLY with the SSL version. The non-ssl works perfect with the same configuration (ofc without ssl in it). | ||||
| 3rd party modules | none. | ||||

Are you running as a service? Try running in GUI mode (run 'unreal uninstall' in your unreal3.2 directory and then start wircd.exe) |
and also check your logs for errors, if you dont have logs setup in your unrealircd.conf then put them there so you can see if it truly errors ;) |
Chances are your SSL certificates aren't set up right. I noticed that too, if my memory serves me correctly, in which case we need some errors on start up to that effect. Logging is great, but when a user starts up the daemon, it should let them know if it succeeded or not. |
