Maybe they will work when combinations of extbans work, or when INVEX starts supporting extbans

imo it should be fixed because of the fact that someone may mistype and not realize, and then come here to submit a bug saying "ban not sticking" or something along those lines. I saw Syzops response that like other major IRCds don't support such checks. well maybe Unreal should try and separate it's self from the bunch even more by having these checks. You want to be user friendly, remember?

Checking for bad syntax and impossible characters is all that this needs to be.

Hm. This was written when +I didn't support extbans yet apparently.

As for the +b ~nq: case... hmm.. well that's not an extban technically :D. I see your point, maybe some later version will have generic checking for nick!user@host
