| Summary | 0003346: Improve Win32 Core Dumps | ||||
| Description | <aquanight> yeah our coredumping sucks on win32 'nuff said :P | ||||

I should point out, that that quote was my recalling from the last time I used win32, which was ages ago. And IIRC our coredumps then were just text file with exception type, backup buffer, and backtrace. My understanding from conversations in #unreal-devel indicate that somewhere along the way it has in fact been improved. In fact, having looked at the src/win32 stuff now, I note that while the .core file itself hasn't changed, there's a minidump code section. I couldn't tell you if it could be improved more than that (full memory dump, maybe?). |

It indeed has minidump capability. There's another bug tracking possible improvements such as auto-submit. |
