Summary | 0005113: m_denyban (3rd party module) does not act on extended bans
Description | Dear UnrealIRCd developers, It appears that although the 3rd party module m_denyban disallows +b *!*@* as expected, when an extban uses * then that is not caught. For example the extban +b ~r:* will still ban everyone as every user must have a gecos/real name field entry. Does this have to do with extended bans being a part of the core while a 3rd party module is trying to disallow certain bans being set? If this can be solved by the user of this module, how should one go about it, what must be included in the config? Thank You very much for Your time and effort in advance. Regards, Koragg
Steps To Reproduce | load m_denychan with mask ban_all, create a new channel, set an extended ban that would ban everyone, e.g. /mode #chan +b ~r:* and m_denyban will NOT forbid it.

You would have to report this to whoever wrote m_denyban. Gottem? :) They would need to filter things on their side. If it's too complicated to do that 100% on their own then module developers can always request new hooks at UnrealIRCd at "key places" to help them. |
