| Summary | 0006131: feature request: specify dns server to use for blacklist | ||||
| Description | The problem manifests in an AWS environment. I run a dnsbl daemon to do some python checks via some http apis, unreal sends a query to its local AWS resolver, then it uses 2 - 3 - 4 servers that each do 2 - 3 queries. I need a way for it to use another dns server but leave the OS dns the same so I can use the AWS internal routing for its services. | ||||

I think there is so little interest in this feature that nobody is going to work on it, it is basically a too specific use case. I think it's better to close it as to not raise any expectations. If you want to do this anyway, then set up a DNS server like bind and route requests from particular zones to other DNS servers (IOTW: solve the problem at the DNS level and not in unrealircd) |
