Summary | 0006333: Please check current module version before overwriting modules
Description | Currently when writing modules, it's a little awkward to have to change the name of the module in order to compile it. It would be great if unrealircd could check the version of the module we currently have against the version that's downloadable and not overwrite our modules as we try to upgrade them.
Steps To Reproduce | upgrade any module make install

3rd party modules | |||||
duplicate of | 0005775 | acknowledged | ./Config will copy modules from previous install even if a newer one exists with the same name |

I doubt many users would need that. Currently, it's possible to just comment out the conf/modules.sources.list repo url. I don't think it's documented anywhere though. |

Yeah current way is annoying, dup of 0005775 though. |
